How Much Does a Limo Cost in Edmonton? (2026 Pricing Guide)

2026 Guide  ·  ~7 min read  ·  By Katch A Limo

Short answer: the cost of a limousine in Edmonton depends on four things, the vehicle, the day of the week, how long you need it and where you are going. At Katch A Limo, weekday mornings carry our lowest base rate, and everything else is quoted on the details of your trip. Here is how the pricing actually works, so you can budget without guessing.

What drives the price of a limo in Edmonton

Five things move the number more than anything else.

  • The vehicle. A six-passenger executive SUV costs less per hour than an eleven-passenger stretch limousine, and a twenty-passenger party bus sits at the top of the range. Bigger vehicle, bigger crew, bigger price.
  • The day and time. Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest hours of the week for every limo company in the city. Weekday daytime is the quiet period, and that is where the best rates live.
  • How long you book. Most companies, including us, quote by the hour with a minimum. Hourly rates usually drop a little for longer bookings.
  • The season. Late May through June (graduations and weddings), New Year’s Eve, and big concert nights at Rogers Place fill up weeks ahead. Demand pushes rates up and availability down.
  • Where you are going. Trips inside the Anthony Henday ring road are the standard rate. Destinations outside it, like St. Albert, Leduc, Spruce Grove or Fort Saskatchewan, carry a zone surcharge because of the extra driving time.

Typical Edmonton limo rates by vehicle type

Every limo company in Edmonton prices by the hour, and the hourly rate climbs with the size of the vehicle. Here is how our fleet lines up, from the most affordable to the most premium.

  • Executive SUV (up to 6 passengers): the lowest hourly rate in our fleet. The right choice for airport runs, corporate travel and small groups who want comfort without the stretch.
  • Stretch limousine (6 to 11 passengers): the middle of the range. The classic pick for weddings, anniversaries, prom and nights out.
  • Party bus (up to 20 passengers): the highest hourly rate, usually with a longer minimum, but the lowest cost per person once a full group splits it. Built for bachelorette parties, big birthdays and group celebrations.

The categories overlap more than people expect. A stretch limo on a Tuesday afternoon can cost less than an SUV on a Saturday night. Timing matters as much as the vehicle.

Katch A Limo pricing: how we quote

We keep it simple. Our lowest base rate applies to bookings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 AM and noon. Every other request, evenings, weekends, multi-stop days, out-of-town trips, gets a custom quote based on the vehicle, the hours and the destination.

Why not a big rate card? Because two limo trips are rarely the same. A three-hour wedding shuttle with photo stops is not the same job as a straight run to the airport, and a flat table would either overcharge one client or undercharge another. A quote takes us a few minutes and it reflects your actual trip.

What is always included in our price:

  • A professional, licensed chauffeur
  • The vehicle, fuel and insurance
  • Door-to-door pickup and drop-off
  • A 15-minute courtesy grace period if your event runs a little long

What is not included: gratuity (see below), zone surcharges outside the Anthony Henday, and any cleaning or repair fee if a guest damages the vehicle. There are no other hidden fees. You know the total before you confirm.

Cost by occasion: what people actually spend

Here is how the math tends to work out for the most common bookings in Edmonton.

Wedding day. Most couples book four to six hours: pickup, ceremony, a photo stop or two, and the reception drop. With a stretch limousine, the day of the week makes the biggest difference to the total. Our wedding limo service page covers what a typical timeline looks like.

Airport transfer. A one-way run to or from Edmonton International in the executive SUV is one of the most affordable limo trips you can book. The time of day and where in the city you start are what move the price.

Night out or casino run. A four-hour block gets you to River Cree, a restaurant and home again. A stretch limo is the usual choice; a party bus costs more per hour but carries twice the group.

Party bus for a group. Twenty people splitting a five-hour party bus each pay a fraction of what the whole vehicle costs. That is often less than everyone taking separate rides home.

Corporate day rate. A chauffeur on standby for a full day of meetings is quoted as a block. See our corporate and executive service for how accounts and monthly billing work.

How much should you tip your limo driver?

Gratuity is not included in our quotes. If your chauffeur takes good care of you, 15 to 20 percent of the total fare is the norm in Edmonton, and it is entirely at your discretion. We wrote a separate guide on how to tip your limo driver if you want the details.

Deposits, payment and cancellations

A 50 percent deposit holds your date. The balance is due before or when your chauffeur arrives. We accept e-transfer, Visa, Mastercard and cash.

If your plans change, call us as early as you can. Cancellations well in advance can usually be handled without a fee. Last-minute cancellations on a busy date may carry one, because that slot was turned down for someone else. We would rather talk it through than surprise you.

Six ways to pay less for a limo in Edmonton

  • Book a weekday morning. Our lowest base rate exists for a reason. If your event can happen Monday to Wednesday before noon, that is the cheapest way to book with us.
  • Book early for peak dates. Grad season, New Year’s Eve and playoff nights are gone weeks ahead. Early bookings get first pick of vehicles and avoid surge pricing.
  • Right-size the vehicle. Six people do not need a party bus. The executive SUV is comfortable and costs a lot less per hour.
  • Share the cost. A party bus split twenty ways is one of the cheapest rides per person in Edmonton.
  • Ask about our 20 percent discount. We offer it to veterans, nurses, firefighters and teachers. Just mention your profession when you book.
  • Keep the route tight. Every extra stop adds time, and time is what you are paying for. Plan the itinerary before you call.

When a limo is worth it, and when it is not

A limo is worth it when the ride is part of the event: a wedding, a milestone birthday, prom night, a proposal, a group that wants to stay together. It is also worth it when the alternative is stress: a 5 AM airport run, a night out where nobody wants to drive, a client you want to impress.

It is probably not worth it for a short solo trip across town on a Tuesday. A rideshare will do that for less. We will tell you that too, if you ask.
